Up for auction is one brand-new Surly 1×1 “Rat Ride” complete bicycle. These bikes were produced in 2009 to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the Surly Brand and feature all-original graphics harkening back to the very first production run of 1×1 “Rat Ride” framesets.Bike is an 18 inch. Was removed from the box but never assembled or ridden – the fork has never even been cut. There are one or two MINOR scratches that you’d have to really look to find. Otherwise this bike perfect, it has just been sitting completely untouched in storage for over 3 years. All instructions and everything needed to complete the build is still in its original box.Components are quality pieces; Nitto 1×1 bars, Ritchey headset, Avid BB-7 mechanical disk brakes, Surly Mr. Whirly cranks, dual stainless chainrings, limited edition sealed-bearing Surly disk hubs, etc. Surly 24″ Large Marge rims, etc. The frame is made from quality butted cro-moly steel. As you may know, you can run a great variation of wheel sizes in this frame – 24″, 26″, 650b, or 700c. These bikes retailed upwards of $1500.00 when new.Please note that there are no pedals (these bikes were not delivered with pedals) and someone has robbed the seat off this bike, so you’ll need one.
